In the Area of Equipping Leaders for Vital Ministry

Equipping Leadership for Vital Ministries is one of the focus areas of the Illinois Conference Capital Campaign.

Strong vital congregations, large and small, in our various Conference's geographical settings depend on having strong lay and clergy leadership.  Our United Church of Christ's greatest challenge and opportunity is in identifying, training and nurturing leaders to lead the church in mission for the 21st century.  This focus area of the "into the Future by the Spirit's Power" campaign is designed to help our Conference equip spiritually grounded, biblically based and skillfully equipped people for God's church.

Small grants from this focus area of the Capital Compaign are invited for projects in the calendar year of 2010.  The deadline for submitting a grant request has been determined to be November 1, 2009, but for 2010 year the deadline will be extended until December 1, 2009, to allow more time to generate projects resulting in transformative, well-grounded and committed leadership for our church's futuer.
