Driving Instructions to Pilgrim Park Pilgrim Park is located in north central Illinois, approximately two hours southwest of Chicago, one hour east of Moline, and one hour north of Peoria. We are just south of Interstate 80, and can be reached from either Highway #6 or Highway #29. From Interstate I-80 Take the Ladd/Spring Valley exit (exit #70). Travel SOUTH on to Highway #89 (to Spring Valley), and travel approximately 3 miles. At the junction of 89 and 29, turn RIGHT, onto Highway #29. Take #29 for 7 miles. At the brown "Church Camp" sign, turn RIGHT onto 1285N. Then take a quick RIGHT on to 2650E. The entrance is down the road, at the bottom of the hill. From the South on Highway #29 Pilgrim Parks main entrance is located just off Highway #29, 2 miles east of Bureau Junction and 2 miles west of DePue. Turn onto 1285N at the brown "Church Camp" sign. Turn RIGHT onto 2650E. The camp entrance is on this road at the bottom of the hill. From Highway #6 If you are traveling EAST on Interstate I-80, take the I-180 South (exit #61) to Highway 6. Turn LEFT (east) on Highway 6. Turn RIGHT onto 2625E, at the brown "Church Camp" sign. The entrance is 2.3 miles down the gravel road. If you come to the town of Hollowwayville, you have gone too far on Highway #6. If you are traveling WEST on Interstate I-80, take the Ladd/Spring Valley (exit #70). Turn LEFT (south) on to Highway 89. You will go over the overpass and come to a stop sign. Turn RIGHT, towards Princeton on Highway #6. About 6.8 miles later, turn LEFT onto 2625E, at the brown "Church Camp" sign. The entrance is 2.3 miles down the gravel road. If you reach the exit for I-180, you have gone too far west on Highway #6. NOTE: Those who are traveling on Highway #6- the gravel road is straight for one mile. There are several sharp turns after that point. Please drive carefully. You will need to drive around the camp to get to the parking lot. Winter Travel Advice: We have found that during the winter months, it is best to arrive at camp off of Route 29. The gravel road off of Highway #6 is often icy or drifted in. Call the camp office if you are unsure of road conditions. |
