Illinois Conference
The UCC responds to disasters an average of once every 2.5 days. Initial support comes from the One Great Hour of Sharing offering and is followed by special gifts.
Guided by an Advisory Panel that includes Association reprentatives, the Disaster Ministries Team of the Illinois Conference lives out its mission by assisting local churches and their members to prepare for disasters, and by responding to disasters in our local communities and throughout the country. This is done in cooperation with the United Church of Christ Disaster Ministries, and with other local, regional and national organizations.
